Originally known simply as La Casa, the property had long served as a gathering place for events, community meetings, and small businesses. Its transformation into La Casa de Malka introduced a new identity shaped around its owner’s life and creative practice. Rather than a residence, the project operates as a mixed-use destination that brings together an art studio, café and bar, rental spaces, and flexible rooms for cultural and private events.

Malka's calligraphy practice, her music, her heritage, and her personal collections became part of the design language. The harp, artwork, decorative pieces, and deep green palette give the spaces a distinctly personal character. Alongside these interventions, the first phase included the renovation of the bathrooms and the installation of a new wastewater treatment system to support the property’s evolving program.
